Ruby was born in West Yorkshire to jazz loving parents, who named her after the Thelonious Monk classic Ruby, my Dear. Exposed to a wide variety of different musical styles from an early age she was first inspired to sing jazz, which then quickly lead to her embracing numerous styles of music.

Ruby truly has a unique voice, soft yet rich and full, with sumptuous subtlety and divine beauty throughout. This one of a kind vocal style has attracted much attention and enabled ruby to write and record music with numerous projects. She has recently completed a sell-out UK tour with Submotion Orchestra, accepted record deals with Exceptional Records (Submotion Orchestra) and dance DJ Doorly's new record label Pigeon Hole This! (Extra Curricular) and completed 6week tour of Europe and the UK with the mighty Bonobo live band!
